Went to the doctor for stress a few weeks ago. She got blood pressure checked (high but now normal) and also blood tests.
The blood tests came back with elevated GGT levels (I like a drink but not too much) but my ALT level was 112.
The doctor has asked me to have the blood test redone next week (after me having been on a low alcohol healthy diet)
Any idea what the elevated ALT could indicate? The doctor said it could be a 'blip'.
I am normally healthy and aged 46. Cycle 60 miles a week and feel OK (apart from work stress more recently). I am not on any medication except for the paracetomol/ ibuprofen if I get a headache or something.
