I am 24 yrs. old and I went to the er in Febuary with pneumonia and the flu. they did a chest x-ray because I was wheezing. They found a spot on my lung the size of a quarter. They did a ct scan and said it was a calcified granuloma and it was probably caused from histoplasmosis ( which is a fungal infection). thay also said that it could have been tuberculosis. But I followed up with my regular doctor and he said not to worry about it and to get it checked every year. But it still scares me. I have been wheezing and have chest pain when I breath so I am going to the doctor tomorrow. If you find anything else about it let me know. I'm worried that I have lung cancer.

To put it simply, it's a little bit of hard scarring inside your lungs. These cells can be prone to changes that are not-so-healthy (like, well, the scarring getting bigger) which is why it's a good idea to keep an eye on it.
But in and of itself it isn't really a health concern unless it's enormous and cutting off airflow or bloodflow.
