Would like to know if anyone can shed some light on this; I constantly have pain in the middle of my back, it doesn't seem to be as bad when I wake up but as the day goes on it increases. Also wake up in the mornings sometimes with excruciating pain in middle of back. Have been having pain in the front area also. This has been going on for awhile. I was looking up symptoms of plueral effusion and sounds like it could be it. I also have swelling that makes it very uncomfortable to even wear a bra. Please help!!!

I have no idea how to help except to suggest "Pain in Back Due to Lungs?" as a web search term. Keep us posted? I've occasionally had a bit of pain there too and wondered what it could be. Could be heart?

Are you sure it's a lung disorder and not a spinal problem?

Reason I ask is because lung pain tends very rarely to be achy-achy and unrelated to breathing.
