hi. i have some sort of lung damage from smoking weed. when i smokid it i woild hold it in as long as possible, some times for up to 50 seconds. on day i was smoking and i felt something tear in my chest. ever since i've been having pains on the entire left side of my body. i smoked cigarette and i felt pain run down through my lek like i'e damaged an important artery. i even get head ahes on that side of my brain. i've been readind stuff and i thought that i had an angina, so i wnt to the hospital, but they said they didn't see anything on the x-ray. i also think that the nerves on the left side of my body are dying and it doesn't seem like my blood is flowing the way it used to. I even get pains in my genitals. I think i'm dying. i recently read that some cells in my lungs could be dead. i was wondrering what are the chances of my lungs and body healing to the state they were in before i started smoking. i've been smoking weed and cigarettes for about 2 and a half years, and i smoked weed and cigarretes for about a month and a half after my first injury and once i felt a strange tingling sensation in my damaged lung. i haven't had anything to smoke for about a month now, but it still feels like my nerves and/or arteries all over my body ( including my brain ) are dying or breaking or something. i can hear my left brain move when i shake my head. can some one please help me, i'm 23, have no money, and i dont want to die. i appreciate any help.

thanks for your time
marc

Some of these symptoms could just be you over-reacting and some of them could be important.

Problem is, it's tough to tell which is which until you get a better idea of what's going on.

You really need to get to a doctor and have testing done to find out what's wrong with you. Tell him exactly what you just said to us.

I know doctors cost money and you don't have any, but frankly, there really isn't anything that anybody on this board can tell you for-sure, for lack of a medical diagnostic center and the ability to poke at you in person.

Hi Marc,
I am so sorry you are going through so much and are feeling so scared and alone,I wish I could help you.
The only thing I can do is to tell you about smoking,If you quit now,you will greatly increase your chances of your lungs returning to as close to what they were when you started smoking.
Marc,I am 38 and I smoked for 28 years,i started when i was 10 years old,and as you have probably seen by my messages for help, that i am now having a biopsy done on my left lung because I have a mass in my left lung, and I also have emphyzema at age 38.
PLEASE stop smoking NOW,use the patch, gum, anything to quit, just quit now,I used the patch and A prescription medication called Welbutrin to quit in January, and it worked.
Try looking in your phone book or a county office for a clinic or County Hospital that helps people with no insurance.
Good Luck,I will pray for you. ROSE

And you might feel more confident if you did a web search first as homework, right? Search term is the problem. "Damage from Smoking Weed"?

I'd probably make a list of what damages are possible and heard of, which your symptoms might suggest.

Keep us posted, okay? We really do care.

Dear Marz: Sorry to hear you are so sick. I know what it is like to have lung problems and not to be able to get air into the lungs and to think this is your last breath. Frequently the heart acts up due to the shortage of oxygen. I have thought many times, I too was dying. But, I am getting better, much better! I have Sarcoidosis (nodules or lumps) in my lungs. I have never smoked, but I became sick anyway. I have had severe low-back pain for two years. A friend called me and said he found a natural product that is helping people to get well and wanted me to try it. I started taking this amazing drink and the "inflamation" in my lower-back left along with the pain. I noticed my clothes were getting loser and I needed that, because the predesone the doctors put me on caused me to gain 60 pounds. I have now lost 20 pounds since April 24, 2003. The reason for the weight loss is this drink controls my cravings and gives me a lot of energy and I am able to clean my house really well for the first time in two years. My arthritis went into remission. Then I noticed a nodule on my arm and one on my upper leg were shrinking. The fever left and now the two nodules are gone and my lungs have improved by 50%. When I told a doctor about the improvement on my lung condition, he remarked, "Sometimes people with Sarco, improve spontaneously" Well, all I can say to that is, I never improved for four years, until I started drinking this amazing drink and it has not only helped my lungs but my entire body. I began to improve almost immediately (within one week, I began to get better). My nails are growing so fast, I need to file them every day. My skin has become soft and young looking, especially my neck and hands. I look 20 years younger. This is happening for all the people I have been able to get this drink to who are sick. I wish I could tell you what this drink is or where to find it, but the rules don't permit me to do this. Please pray and ask God to help you. I did and He brought this information to me. Prayer is free. God accepts knee mail. You are so young, and have so much to live for. Be encouraged and don't give up. I have struggled for 4 years with my lung problems and was so sick I left my only child instructions in my journal what to do at my passing, but now, I feel I will live to enjoy my grandchildren. Never give up. You are in my prayers.
