Can they treat it with corticosteroids or antibiotics? sparkels1228 06-23-2003, 03:04 AM Yes it is a disease that causes swelling in the lungs,but the swelling causes the lungs to scar up,and eventually the lungs become fully scarred. I was on prednisone for almost 5 months before the surgery,and was still not improving. I am going by what my surgeon told me. ROSE |
