been on citralopram for a few years now but all of a sudden having really bad side effects. nausea dizziness and tremors. after six weeks going to docs they decided it was these and halfed my dosage from 40mg to 20mg. first few days were great because side effects gone but became more and more anxious and angry and depressed. doc says dont increase take tranquillisers with but I dont want to. anyone with similar experience help me get off the meds. please

I used to rep for Citolopram. 40 mg is a very high dose. 20 mg is normal, start if you have panic disorder is 10mg to stop anxiety. The side effects you are experiencing are common but usually transient. They should disappear soon. All SSRI antidepressants have these side effects.
If the side effects do go away, stick with them for at least a year, if not you may need to change for a more suitable medication.
