I want to, first of all, thank you all for your wonderful help into my particular situation. You've inspired me and given me more help and insight than I've received anywhere else. I am extremely grateful to you all.
I did see the Neurosurgeon on Wednesday concerning scheduling surgery to fuse C-5, C-6 & C-7 due to Herniation with Cord Compression. As someone told me would happen, I am having to have a new MRI done first, which will happen at 6AM on Monday Morning and then I'll see the Doc again on Wednesday to schedule surgery. He is, however, doing an MRI of my complete spine (Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar) to check for other herniations or other problems, as he tends to think that, based upon my symptoms, there may be others. We shall see.
Now, to the Title of this Thread. I spoke with another preacher friend of mine last night who had this same surgery done back in February and we got to discussing the bone graft. He told me that his doctor didn't use his own bone and didn't use bone from the bone bank either, but he used another material, synthetic I suppose, and I believe he called it BHA. He said that it is not FDA Approved. Is anyone familiar with this? He said that he's having a lot of inflammation due to this material. Anyway, I'm just curious about this product.
Thanks as always and I look forward to your insight.
