i'm 18 and i don't have a life, i also have fm it took 7 years for a diagnosis and now i finally have it, it's good to have a name for the pain but i wish there was a cure.
i work for 30hours a week at budget rental cars, usually thurs - sun (3 days off).
i started a couple of months ago and i love my job but i'm coming home from work so exhausted i just watch t.v till about 9.30 (any earlier and i wake up way too early).
on my days off i catch up on sleep and volunteer on the ambulance.
i have no energy to have a social life, i want to join a club but i'm just so tired, i also don't know where to start, i live in a small town in nz.
my mum thinks i should leave my job, that i can't live in tears and in pain all the time.

Hi Nell, I know how you feel. I'm 25 and have not many friends because when people ask me to do things I just don't have the energy of am in far too much pain. I don't know about the job end of things because I'm stay at home mam and I find that hard enough. I think you'll have to decide for yourself, maybe being out of the house and having a distraction is good and if you give up it might be worse to be at home thinking about it all day, but then again if your in bits all the time because of it, it might be better to give it up. I don't know sorry I couldn't help, I was just glad to see another young person posting.
