how long does low risk hpv take to go away

When were you told you have low risk? Did you have biopsy done?
I went in for my annual 15 mos ago, and was told it was abnormal. I then went in for a biopsy and told it was LSIL w/ HPV. I then had another recently and it too was abnormal and now I have to go in for a biopsy. Unfortunately this time the pap is showing high grade so the low grade/HPV didn't go away it appears. I too was told it COULD go away but in my case, not so much.
