I have had undiagnosed chronic headaches for years, been on on every drug known by specialists, most had such horrible side-affects,couldn't even get out of bed. Dont even bother mentioning one my doctor may have overlooked I have tried it.
My doctor sent me to a specialist, & he mentioned that injectable Subutex (Bupenorphine) has been used for pain in Germany etc... for decades.
He wanted me to try the 8 mg. tab, it was the only relief I have had for more than 20-30 minutes for months. I am prescribed 12 mg. (1 & a half tabs) every 12 hrs. My life has been back to normal for a year, I have to double up on my water & fiber intake to keep from being irregular (no problem).
My question is - I read that any doctor can prescribe Subutex (without taking
(the addiction dependancy specialty class) if it is prescribed for chronic pain only, and not for addiction withdrawl. Does anybody have any known info. about this?

Is there anybody else in this forum who's doctor has explained that subutex has been used for decades in other countries for PAIN, yes pain. I do not know the specific's of what parts of the body that it targets the best but I know that it works wonder's for MY chronic headaches & I just think more patients should be aware of this & ASK your doctor about this aspect of this drug & if he doesn't respond or say's something like "never heard that" he is most likely in it for that new yacht from the boat show.
