Has anyone been on Methadone and come off of it,and what was the results

I take Methedone 10 mg 3 times a day. It doesn't take my pain away, but it takes some of the soreness away. My biggest problem with it is it is very constipating to me. About once a week I quit taking it for about 3 days as to enable me to have a bowel movement , and then only after I take laxitives.
maybe I am doing this wrong, but am afraid to mox laxitives with Methedone.

how long you been taking methadone?
