I have a bad habit of chewing on my lips when I'm stressed. About a week ago I got a big painful bruise on my lips where I chew them. I think I irritated it more in my sleep and the skip peeled off. It's been pretty painful, but slowly getting better.
The problem is that when I wake up in the morning it's developed a thin skin over it that is full of blood. That pops pretty quickly and then it is more or less like it was the day before. The pain is subsiding, but its just incrementally getting better. Any suggestions on how to help it heal faster?
