Hi there, I was so happy to find this board. My sister is 36, a mother of eight children, a full time manager of a department store and was just diagnosed with Lupus. Could you please write and tell me the best advice that you've learned with your own experience with Lupus that will give her a quick start into better understanding this disorder? As her family, we feel very concerned for her. Thank you for your information.

I have had lupus for 9 years. There is a wonderful resource book called "The lupus book" By Daniel Wallace M.D. He explains the disorder in very sensible terms. Some libraries have a copy of this book that can be checked out. Barnes and Noble has it to purchase....as well as Amazon.com Hope this helps in her quest for understanding this mystfying disorder.
