i just had implantation bleeding. however, i have not had my period since january. my period is very irregular. I just finished my implantation bleeding a couple days ago. Probably like 4 days ago.
I have had some pregnancy symptoms but i don't know when i should take a pregnancy test? I can't base it off my period because it is very irregular.
I have heard that you can take it about 2 weeks after, because that is when ovulation happens, but then i heard that you can take it right after implantation is done. I have one Clearblue early detection pregnancy test and i want this one to be positive. When should I take it.
If it comes out negative, I will take a blood test, but I really want to get positive on a pee test first.

Umm....how do you know you had implantation bleeding? Maybe you were spotting? I have 3 children and I never had implantation bleeding. Some people do, but it is not a given to have it with every pregnancy.
If you were to have implantation bleeding, it would occur 6 to 12 days after ovulation. You would normally start your period roughly 14 days after ovulation....and if you didn't start it...then that would be considered a missed period. BUT....if you are having irregular periods anyway....you may even be having non-ovulatory cycles when you DO have a period. You should see a specialist if you are actively trying to conceive because believe me.....with irregular periods.....you may just be beating a dead horse trying it on your own. I lived through that. I had very irregular cycles and tried on my own for 2 and a half years and nothing. I finally went to see a specialist who put me on fertility drugs and after 4 cycles....I conceived.
Also, urine testing is often very accurate. If you get a negative result....it is almost guaranteed that you are not pregnant. Whenever my doctors office would test me for pregnancy....it was only done by urine.....not blood. If it was positive, then they sent me to the lab for blood work so they could see the big picture. But, if the urine test came out negative, they left it at that.
Good luck.

i am pretty sure that it was implantation bleeding. It only showed up when i wiped and it lasted longer than my period. My period hasn't always been irregular. I know that it is weird but sex messes up my period, and it happens a lot.
I have already had symptoms, and I have thrown up a couple times for no reason. Not lately, but it has happened.
We have been trying for a while now, and I have the symptoms what else could it be.

i will let everyone know how the test went as soon as i decide to take it.
i am kind of afraid because all the negatives in the past have hurt me and my fiance horribly.
i don't know if i will take the test tomarrow but i will update you all.

If the bleeding lasted longer than your period normally is....then I would assume it was just a long period. Implantation is usually only for a couple of days. Why aren't you guys seeing a specialist since you know you have fertility issues??? Do you know why you are irregular? Are there any underlying medical conditions?

I agree with Barton, this does not sound like implantation bleeding to me either......in general, I always thought that implantation bleeding was only a couple of days, and very light. For your sake, I hope we are wrong, but if you are not PG I would take the advice of another poster and start to see a specialist since you know you have some sort of issue as your irregular periods indicate.
Good Luck!

Well, I hope the best for you Dani. I had implantation spotting with one pregnancy (On baby #4), it was only when I wiped and it lasted a day or so. I've never heard of it lasting very long. I would wait about 5-7 days after implantation bleeding started before taking a test, that should be enough time for the HcG levels to rise in your urine.
Good Luck, let us know :)

NO...that is incorrect. Implantation takes place 6-12 days after ovulation. Implantation bleeding only lasts a couple of days.....that is all it takes for the implantation process.

If you don't mind me asking....what is stopping you from seeing a specialist? It is normal for you to have irregular periods during your teen years, but they should become regular in your adult years. If they are not, there is a reason for it. Think about this....a person with regular cycles only has about a 20% chance of conceiving every month!!! Now, imagine how much that percentage drops if your cycles are irregular!!! I personally would see a specialist. Infertility is very hard to deal with. Believe me, I know how devastating it is. Getting help would really increase your chances!!!
