how can you get herpes on your lip when you werent sexually active.

Hi.. if your talking about the lips on your mouth.. you can catch it from kissing someone that has oral herpes (cold sores) even if there are no signs or symptoms.

Also, I am not sure of your definition of sexually active so I will also throw this out there.. if you had given oral sex to someone that has herpes this can also cause you to get oral herpes.

Those are the possible ways ...unless you had it from childhood and it just never came out until now?
