What are the chances of getting herpes from oral Sex while the person giving has a visable cold sore? The person recieving has never had a cold sore.

I would say the chance is there. I am not trying to scare you, event though you have never had an OB or cold sore, doesn't mean anything you are still at risk, Has your partner ever been test to find out which specfic Virus he has HSV1 or HSV2, you should never engage in any sexual activity while active, it increases the chances of passing the virus, even though HSV1 is not as Active and has a lower risk, the RISK is still there, Once you have Herpes , YOU own it... Active or not it can still pass from person to person... I would suggest you and your partner go to the doctor and ask to be tested HGg is the test you want and it will tell you IF you have the virus and Which one you have. I wish you both the best..
