Hi, 24/7 from when i wake to when i go to sleep i have an image of myself in my head, it is almost like a mirror image, as if im looking back at myself- for example,in my head i could be smiling, but when i look in the mirror im not. , i have got so used to this that im very detached from my bodily posture and feel like im not inside my body, once i was laying down on my bed and i couldnt get up becuase i couldnt distuinguish my body from my bed - it almost feels like im melting into objects. does anyone know what this is?
thank you

Hi gecko,
This sounds like it could be a form of projection. Do you ever see you own self as if you are standing behind or above looking down. Can you tell where you are when you sleep?

This is supposed to be a symptom of dissociating from what I understand. I don't do that when I dissociate but have read about it.

In dissociation I am use to, neither the host or the alter normally leaves the body. Projection does allow for doubles and mind split.

I don't have problems with alters when I dissociate.

Instead, I feel as if I'm on the outside looking in.
