When did your LOs stop taking 2 naps a day? My dd is 13 months and gets up at 6am and takes a nap at 9:30 am and then again around 1:00 pm. Then down for the night at 8 pm. Also, how many hours does your LO sleep at night? I hear stories of babies sleeping for 12 hours straight. Mine sleeps from 8 pm to 6 am. Thanks!

My youngest only ever takes one nap per day (if I catch her at the right (!) time) sometime she naps for 5 mins YES 5 mins other times 3 hours...I put her in bed around 7-7.30 pm and she is usually singing by 6 am.
...my eldest will nap anywhere anytime and as a baby took loads of naps and she is 4 she will also sleep forever 12-14 hrs no probs...soooo...I guess each kid is different that way..!

I think my ds was somewhere around a year when he started taking one nap a day (although some days it was still 2). At that time, he was going to bed at 8pm and sleeping for 12 hours. Since he started sleeping through the night, he's been a 11-12 hour a night, kind of guy. He's turning 2 in a couple weeks, and he still sleeps 11-12 hrs, and takes an hour (at least) nap during the day.
Every child is different! I don't think 10 hours at night is too little to be sleeping, especially if your lo is making up for it during the day. She'll probably start only needing one nap in the next few months.

My DD is almost 14 months old. and usually still takes 2 naps a day. She wakes up around 7 and goes down from around 10 - 11:30 and then back down for a nap around 3 - 4:30 and then sleeps from 8 pm - around 7 am. (We have an in home babysitter on those days)
On the weekends, we are so busy, my husband and I usually only give her 1 nap (2-3 hours in the middle of the day) and the keeps her bedtime hours of 8 pm - 7am. =)
Im also wondering if I should have the babysitter start giving her just 1 a day....

My son is 13-1/2 mo old and still seems to like 2 a day.
Sleeps from 9:30 to 7.
Nap 10-11:30.
Nap 2:30-4.
(Naps approximate, but overnight pretty steady.)
I'd love it if he wanted to drop the morning, but I'm not sure of that yet. At least that would be some time I could go places and get something done easier (he doesn't like to fall asleep anywhere but the crib).

Mine too, Rebel! We had to take a short trip (3 hours away) last weekend. We left at the time she would normally take her morning nap thinking she would sleep. She slept for about 20 minutes. Then on our trip home, we left WAY after her afternoon naptime and she refused to sleep in the car. When we got home, I changed her, gave her a snack and put her in her crib. She was out like a light. But that only messed up her nightime schedule! She definitely is a creature of habit. Also she has slept on her stomach since she was 6 weeks old. Yes, I know, it's a no - no. But we could not get any sleep (nor could she) until we let her sleep on her tummy. So I think that's part of the reason she won't sleep in the car.
