I was diagnosed with PD at age 46.We moved to FL 4 years ago. My husband, who I thought was my support, has fallen into a deep depression. I caught him (the day before my DBS surgery) having an affair. He has moved out leaving me with a 16 year old. I believe he still loves me but he needs help. any suggetions? I live in Tampa

It's hard to find a support group for young parkinson's but check with your neurologist, Tampa's a big area. I go to one in Upstate NY but I'm 10 years younger than anyone else and it meets during business hours and I work. I may get "bleeped" for this but there is a website called patients like me that has a more active group than this list and lots more younger people - I'm 51 and have had problems for five years.
At one point my neurologist also mentioned that some psychologists specialize in dealing with long term illnesses, etc.
Good luck, I only check here once a week or so but I'll look for your posts.
