I am a lesbian and I have hpv. I have only had one partner in my life, but recently broke up with her. I want to know how you spread it and can you still have sex without spreading it?

HPV is does not descriminate based on sexual identity (heterosexual/homosexual). It is spread by skin to skin contact, ANY skin to skin contact, (not simply intercourse) in which an affected area from the partner is in contact with you. Therefore, there would always be a risk with any sexual intimacy of spreading the virus. Men have been asymptomatically transmitting the disease to women for years so there is no reason to believe it cannot/ does not work in reverse. It used to be said that herpes could only be spread during an "outbreak" but this has been found to be untrue. Same with HPV.
