Hi, my 6 year old son was on pulmicort for the last 7-8 months. We saw his allergist/pulmonologist to see what his summer regime should be since he was put on pulmicort nebulizer for the cold months. He put him on singulair 1xday and pulmicort inhaler as needed (if he gets a cold, starts showing signs of asthma, etc..), same with albuterol and zyrtec. But does singulair alone work as an asthma controller? As well as pulmicort?. I am really hoping it does though a bit skeptical. My husband really pushed for him to be off pulmicort but I'm not so sure.. Anybody have some experience with this?.
