Hello. I am 38 , m, 189. I had very high trig. of 1,700. I was on niaspan and pravastatin and my trig. more than doubled on those medications (they were 700). My doctor then put me on Trilipix and kept me on pravastatin. I did a home trig. test. I used an accurate test, (at least I hope, I will find out when I go to the doc) one that can be used for professional use. My trig. went from 1,700 to 180. I have been on trilipix for about 1.5 months. I started out at 2 weeks on 45mg then went up to 135mg for the rest of the time. I have to add that I have changed my diet quite drastically also. I used to eat a lot of pizza and sweets. I have lost about 10- 15 pounds over the past two months or so. The reduction is 88% on the triglycerides, which is huge. The literature shows and improvement of about 45%. So, if this helps anyone on their quest for better health, then that would be great. If you have any questions or if this post helps you please let me know. Thanks:)
