By BPD, do you mean Borderline Personality Disorder or bipolar? The reason I ask is because I've seen the same abbreviation used for both.
If you mean bipolar, that I can speak to. Are you seeing a pdoc? If not, I would suggest that you do so you can be put on the right med combo. Finding the right combination of meds can take some time, but if you're patient, you'll end up feeling so much better once you find a regimen that works.
As far as Borderline is concerned, many of the same meds used for bipolar are also used to treat the former. I have a friend who has BPII and Borderline. All of her meds (5 of them) are used for bipolar, but also treat her Borderline as well.
If you have Borderline, you may want to find a tdoc who specializes in DBT. DBT is widely used for people who have Borderline and the success rate is very good.

Whichever your meaning, I have both and use the same meds for both, all 8 of them. I won't lie to you some days will stay bad, but there will be good days also. I would definitly reccomend a therapist to talk to besides your pdoc, talking to someone and getting it "all" out can be of great help. I know how frustrating it is not to sleep, I haven't gotten more than 3 hours sleep a night in months, I wake up exhausted every single morning and it sucks. You need to talk to your pdoc about this and perhaps he can prescibe somehting for you to help you sleep.

I apparently have Bipolar I disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have them both.. not AS BAD as some people get it, but bad enough.
My therapy I will be going to involves DBT & CBT.
I'm just on the "why me" kick and cried like a 5 year old today, literally. I'm hibernating in my room, away from everyone.
I'm severely depressed, and my meds don't work right now. I want to have hope, but it's diminished. Right now I feel like an emotional train wreck.

I understand. I felt the same way after I was diagnosed with BPI and PTSD. It took me a year to accept my diagnosis of bipolar. As far as my PTSD is concerned, I still am trying to come to terms with it even though my tdoc thinks that I've been suffering from it for the past 20 years.
Keep posting to the boards here anytime you'd like to vent or have a question. We are always happy to help.

I DONT WANT BAD DAYS. I DONT WANT PASSIVE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS. I know everyone has bad days, but I want to be stable enough and learn the coping skills so I can get through it and not land me where I am right now. Sorry if I seem mean, I wrote in another post about my diagnosis today. I am just mad at the world right now.

Being mad at the world is common when you feel like crap and you meds aren't working. But Kat and Neon are right, once your meds start working a little bit and you start therapy, you will start to gain some good days..... I just spent 9 months in a deep depressive state and just now found a med combination that is starting to give me at least a few good days. Hang in there and know there are people here on this board that will support you.
