I don't understand what the Oxycodone IR is??

Oxycodone IR is Oxycodone instant release. The med is in pill form and is released immediately upon consumption....Takes about 30-45 minutes for it to hit your system.

Most pills are IR...Tylenol, motrin, vitamins and etc....Meaning that when you take them, the are released in your system in totality. Conversely, ER or extended release meds, are released over some time period. These meds have a time release mechanism built into the pill to have the med slowly absorbed over some predetermined time period.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
