My daughter has braces for an overbite. Recently, her ortho decided she was ready to have her braces removed. Her teeth were slanting outward, instead of vertical. So he has pulled them back. Now her bite is overcorrected and she looks like she has an underbite. He has given her rubber bands and said "hopefully this will fix it". He became very arrogant and i didn't wish to discuss it with him further. But it is not acceptable answer, when i paid 4,000.00 for my child to look like she has an underbite. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without surgery?

I would suggest finding another orthodontist and getting a second opinion. If you have a dental school nearby, thats also a good place as you can get the most current information with confidence of several dentists' opinions at once.
