i just recently discovered that i have a hemorrhoid. it's usually about the size of a pea. sometimes it is uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt much anymore (at first it was really painful and the size of a blueberry). anyway.... so can hemorrhoids cause lower back pain? what is the best way to deal with a hemorrhoid? do i have to see a doctor or is home treatment usually effective? (i have three kids and no family where i am, and nobody to watch my kids, and my husband just deployed.... so unless it's bad, i try to avoid the doctor!)
thanks for any help you can give!

Hemorrhoids are veins that have lost their elasticity -- much like varicose veins and once you have one or more they are not reversable.
You can home treatment them and it helps some but if they cause too much pain -- you really need to see a doctor for surgery.
