I am curious to know if anyone who takes hydrochlorothiazide or microzide--a lower dosage-- has experienced a rise in cholesterol levels. When I got off microzide and got on another blood pressure medicine, my cholesterol went down twenty points. I eat a good diet and take zetia and was wondering why I could only get 180 with the cholesterol. Then by golly, when I got off the diuretic, my cholesterol became 164! Has anyone else had this happen?
