Today I returned from Northern Wisconson (30 min. South of Iron River, MI) and removed a tick that had probably been there for 8 hours plus. I have the tick in a Zip lock bag in the refridgerator. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can get the tick tested for Lymes? Should I get tested? I live in the Chicago area. Thank you. Rob

Rob, how did you remove the tick? It is great that you saved it. You can have it tested at:

IgeneX
Palo Alto, California http://www.igenex.com/
415-424-1191
800-832-3200

IgeneX is one of the best Lyme labs in the country. You should see a Lyme doctor. Doctor names are not posted on the Internet, but emailed privately. You can email me at ko_@bellsouth.net (the _ after the ko is an underline) for some resources. Please mention your post here as a reminder for me.

Igenex is a good lab along with BBI. However i just sent a tick off to BBI and was told that they were bought out by Speciality Labs. I have no idea where the tick is that i sent in. Hello MA, i quess we just float around everywhere :)
