I've been commuting to work daily for about 10 years - usually by train, but more recently by car. I've started to think about how I can counter-act some of the inevitable negative affects of the commute on my health.

It's not that I have anything specific to tackle - though I'm sure those twinges in my back aren't being helped by the way I have to sit. I'm just wondering if people have ideas about how I could improve things?

There are isometric exercises that you can do that will strengthen muscles and require no extra space. they will help with your muscle strength without even leavening you seat!
