Hello all, well I was prescribed COncerta by my DR. I am getting it filled today and will start it tomorrow. I also take Wellbutrin 200MG

Does anyone have any advice on what I might experience?
I am always scared to take new medicines.

While I know everyone reacts differently, can you tell me what you first experienced? Will I feel immediate effects or is it like AD's where it takes a while to feel the effects?

One more question to those who take this??? Will I be able to enjoy my occasional glass of wine with dinner while taking this?

I didn't experience anything dramatic. I just found that, as I tried to do things, my attention span was longer. I'd be listening to someone, and my attention would wander away as it normally would, but then it would wander back a few seconds later all by itself!

Most people do start to feel the effects the first day.

I agree with what Jane said. Unlike antidepressants, stimulants don't require time to build up in your system so they are effective immediately.

You aren't likely to experience side effects. Some people have a mild headache in the beginning. You may also notice a decrease in your appetite. You could have some mild insomnia. Taking it with food decreases the likelihood of mild nausea. Again, you may not have any of these. I'm just telling you what could happen so you're prepared.
