My 13 yr old daughter came to me and her dad tonight to say that she has a lump just over her right breast. It is maybe 1 inch tall by 2 inches long and half an inch above the top outline of her breast. It is hard and you can feel that it has sides when you touch around it. No change in color and no pain unless you press it with force or she lays on her right side and something comes in contact with it like a shirt button that causes pressure. Any ideas what this could be? I am going to call and make her an appt in the morning but am very worried.

It's most likely what they call in Australia a mouse lump. I don't know the medical name for it. My niece had one when she was about 17. Hers was quite large also. They are harmless but they usually remove them. I can understand you being worried but it's highly unlikely to be anything sinister at her young age. I hope all goes well for your daughter.
