About two weeks ago I believe I had an external hemorrhoid that prolapsed. It hurt for about 4 days but then the pain went away. I thought the hemorrhoid had also disappeared because I didn't feel a lump near the anal opening. However, about a week later there was minor pain and itching and I realized the hemorrhoid would return after a bowel movement or as I attempted to use the bathroom. It's been about a week since I noticed this and the hemorrhoid is still there but is not prolapsed, it will go back inside after a bowel movement. There is no pain but it still feels uncomfortable and it occasionally still itches. Also, I've been experiencing lower back pain and I'm not sure if it is connected.
I haven't used any cremes as I've read a lot of people have on the internet because I also read it just gets rid of the pain but not the actual hemorrhoid and I don't really have a lot of pain.
My question is, is this actually a hemorrhoid or something else? And how long does it take before it will go away?

Hey jas
I had the same problem around the same time last year. I wish I could remember exactly how long it took to go away, but it was around for awhile.
Now sure if the back pain is connected either. Never had that problem.

Did you use any meds for it or go to the doctor?

Nope. Didn't do anything. Just let it go away on its own. It was like it shrunk over time.
