Hi,
I have severe itching on my face, neck and both hands for more than 3 months. My doctor has send me to dermatologist and she gave me hydrocortisone cream and reactine tablet, but still it is increasing only. For the last 2 months, I am having pain on my left jaw with swollen lymph node. Now pain is spreading to my throat, left side of jaw and inside my mouth on the gum. Today I have explained that to my doctor but he says lymp node swelling and pain is due to the facial itching and just take the tylenol. But now I am extreamly worried after seeing the symptoms of lymphoma in the net. Also now I have realised that I have the nightly sweating for some time and waitloss and tiredness. As I have hypothyroidism for 25 years, I was always gaining weight. But for the last few months I lost 7 pounds and I was so happy for that until I knew it could be a symptom of lymphoma.
My itching has no limits. I itch on my face, neck, chest and hands even after it bled. Please someone tell me if this could be lymphoma or it could be allergies and what should I do. I am shivering with the fear of the possibility of cancer. I am praying to my good Lord not to take me through it. Please some one advise me what I should do. Thanks

You canot diagnose anything yourself.
What you need to do is go to your Doctor and ask fro some blood work done, nly after the results can someone really tell you whats going on. Dont read too much online as when you are worried about something you will fit your symptoms to theirs.
Go to Doc, dont hang around worrying, get it sorted. Keep us posted. Good luck :)

You need to go back to the doctor and insist on the proper tests. If your doctor dismisses you please seek a second opinion. Blood tests will not tell you if you have lymphoma, you need to get that node biopsied. Lymphoma does have the same symptoms as many other diseases therefore it's not so simple to diagnose. The fact that you say you have an enlarged node, and weight loss, and night sweats is cause for concern. If your doctor sends you for blood work and the results come back normal and he says everything is ok please insist on a biopsy. Blood tests do not rule out lymphoma.
You can have completelynormal blood test results and have lymphoma. In your case you should get your thyroid rechecked. Hope to hear good news from you.
