I have known some people who have OB's in other areas of their bodies other then genital or mouth, so YES maybe rare but not uncommon, herpes is carried to the Nerve Ending so it can pop up anywhere in the body you have one... I would imagine it is painful more so because of the location and walking and such, try soaking it in mineral water or oatmeal baths, that may relieve the discomfort some..... have you been tested for Herpes?
