I just found out that I have herpes, but the person that Im in a relationship with doesn't have herpes. Can herpes be something that I got as a child when I was sexually abused; can it stay in the body for years prior to an outbreak?

Hi yes that is quiet possible some people never have an outbreak but find out via blood test that they are positive for herpes.

wouldn't where his herpes is located mean something? i had a friend that had herpes on his lip but if he had it on his genitals wouldn't that mean he probably caught it the old fashioned way?
