Ok I wrote a book and it flew off into CyberSpace somewhere..
But I am looking for anyone who for whatever reason has had to get off beta blockers before and how long it toke them to feel normal again, I have been off Toprol XL now for 5 weeks and at first the withdrawal was a nightmare. It landed me in the hospital 3 times.. docs all say everything is fine,, but I an suffering from Hi heart rate when walking or doing any sort of movement and now blood pressure elevated as well,,that just started last week after half lives got out of my system..my question is can anyone tell me your stories how long it toke til you felt normal again. And did your bodies go back to normal or did you have to get back on meds,, I an convinced I don't need meds and really had so many side effects I want to get this part of over and move on ya know.
Any feedback would be so greatly appreciated thanks...

All I have done is switch from a beta blocker (Inderal) to a alpha/Beta Blocker (Labetalol.) My b/p was so high at the time that I'm not sure if it was withdrawal.

BTW our bodies consider these drugs toxins so any excess drug is stored in the fat tissues. As our fat tissues is used up, some of the drug will be released into the blood & may cause symptoms.
