Hi,
I'm moving from London to Mexico City next weekend and have serious problems with my TM Joint, as can be seen in this thread: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=694025
I amcurrently in quite a lot of pain and things aren't great, so if anyone knows of someone here or nearby please do let me know. I'm thinking of travelling ot see Dr stack, but this could get very expensive which is something i'm trying to avoid.
Thanks for any suggestons.

I travelled to see Stack. He's good, in a month my jaw stopped clicking but it turned out I had 'sub-clinical' TMJ i.e. it wasn't the cause of the pain. In my case its actually an artery compressing one of the main facial nerves and I'm heading for brain surgery.
Logistically maybe look for a specialist in San Diego. That way you could fly up to Tijuana, domestic flights being cheaper and just hop across the border.
Good Luck

pipdog- did they see the nerve compression on an MRI or was it because the tegretol helped it they decided it was that?
When is you surgery? I hope its miminally invasive. You will have to keep us posted and I wish you the best.
A lot of us on this board have what is called is atypitcal facial pain, I also believe most times the joint itself is not the main problem.

Pipdog,
I don't want to take this thread off topic - would you please PM me? I would really appreciate hearing about your experience with Dr. Stack. Thank you, Stephanie
