Both of my big toenails are detached almost to the quick. There is no clear sign of a fungus-discoloration particularly-but they are becoming tender underneath. I am currently using a product called Fung off just to cover the bases on fungus. My nail tech cannot see any signs of fungus except the bottom of one of the toenails look bruised. Should I try Tea Tree Oil?

I advise that you see your dermatologist. One cannot just 'look' at a nail and tell if it is a fungal infection. It could also be a yeast infection which looks much different than the yellow discoloration of fungus. Nail infection can only be diagnosed by a trained physician, not your nail tech.
