I'm going to try to make an appointment at my student health facility to get evaluated for ADD/ADHD as soon as this holiday weekend is over. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten diagnosed at a student health facility. How was your experience? Did they have to send you to an off site specialist? What kind of questions/tests did they ask you? I know things like Adderall are commonly abused on college campus' as a study drug, so I am just kind of nervous that they are going to be skeptical of me, especially considering its only a couple weeks till finals.

It's difficult to draw conclusions about Student Health Facilities because they're all unique.
I can tell you that my own experience with Student Health was helpful but ultimately unsatisfying, however, I'm certain that I don't go to the same school as you do.
To get a strong diagnosis of ADHD and decent treatment may be a difficult, frustrating and time consuming process, it was for me. That doesn't mean the process isn't worth it. Don't give up.

Mine put me on many different anti-depressants. None did anything, just made me worse. I had to switch to a new doctor who started me on ADHD meds.
