My husband had a pet scan on saturday. He has a lump under his arm a biopsy shows as cancer. There are dark spots as well (same as the lump under arm) in the brain and groin area. Does that mean this is cancer as well? He had melanoma 2 years ago, but showed no other signs of it after it was removed.

Pet scan usually does pick up cancerous cells, though further testing would be required, the best would be a biopsy. Good luck to you and your husband.
