My sons toe keeps getting infected on the edge and it,s draining .the doctor has given him medicine before but,his toe looks like it has skin has turned inside out and swollen.how can i treat the toe?

I will say that if it is just the side that is infected, it may not be Paronychia - it may be an ingrown nail that has become infected. Try taking him to a Podiatrist rather than his regular doctor. Podiatrists are trained in the treatment of toenail infections, disorders and diseases.
Paronychia infection is basically a yeast (candida fungus) infection that infects the skin surrounding the entire nail unit and is not normally localized to the area you say his infection is. It sounds more like an infection from an ingrown nail.
