Personal info: I am 22 male, my life is not stressful, I am blessed with a job, family, and life I love.

I know I have anxiety, it's pretty obvious, maybe depression of some sort too? Or, just the thoughts drive me down, who knows.

I've never sought help, just Google a lot. So, to the point:

My mind always races, I am always thinking. My question is if I get on meds does this stop? How does it stop if I know why it's stopping? My compulsive thoughts have become like a habit. Does all this just stop!?

Also, I've read that running and exercise helps, but I can't go run because it gets worse when I am actually running. All I do is think while I run and so it scares me to run.

Before I started Prozac my mind would be constantly going. I was scared of EVERYTHING. I got so bad that I couldn't leave the house. I think anxiety can strike anyone, whether you have a wonderful life or the worst. I still have anxiety BUT it's the "normal" kind. My mind doesn't race anymore. I'm calm. Go to a doctor and discuss possibly taking medication. They can diagnose you and help you out further. Good luckQ

Thanks for the reply...i guess we'll just have to see how much the "thinking" goes away?

I guess its just different for people?

Thanks!

Everyone is different! What works for one might not work for the next. It'll definitely be a process but hang in there because it's worth it in the end!
