:wave: Hello Ladies,
I am 21 years old and I have known that I had PCOS since I was 14. Unfortunately, my doctors did not diagnose me with it until I was 20 years old. Since i could remember, i had very irregular periods and very painful periods. I constantly go to my gynecologist and my endocrinologist to keep up with my health. In the past 3 years I have gained a total of 75lbs, my periods have gotten heavier, the pain is more intense, I have facial hair and body hair and my hair is totally different than it was when I was younger. I keep asking my doctors to give me an ultrasound to check for ovarian cysts but they told me that the metformin and birth control should take care of any cysts. do you think that I should get another doctor who is willing to give me an ultrasound? does the metformin really work? does anyone know a good diet to go on to lose this weight?

I have the same problem. I would go to a differant doc. there are other ways to treat PCOS.. i take fish oil pills and Vitex everyday. So far i have gotten my period for 3 months straight and then all of a sudden it stoped for 2 months. It's so frustraiting because i want to get pregnant... But i can't because my overies are out of wack. :(
