I've been having this headache which feels like someone dripping water on my head, ear ringing, and I get numbness in right arm and sometimes in other extremities. I've had an MRI, CT scan, ECG, and EKG and all came out fine. I was told by my doctor and the ER doctor that it sounds like I might have anxiety. I noticed that I've been crying a lot more and worrying on what's going on in my body. I didn't realize you could have different symptoms for anxiety disorder.
My doctor also is talking about referring me to a neurologist to see if there are other things going on. I'm also going to see my eye doctor to rule out eye issues.
So do these symptoms I listed above be anxiety?

Molly...I am not able to identify your illness, but I have had depression and anxiety over the years. For my anxiety,I took Ativan(Lorazapam)and it helped me, and my relative, in good fashion.A general family doctor can prescribe this for you.I'd try that before more tests,if I were you.I have had some ringing in my ears for years, and I haven't heard of any meds to stop it.I read on here of a neurotologist
(sp?) who might help you if ear problems are involved.I do hope that you will continue to be brave, and that you will solve this problem quickly. Luck..Bill

Anxiety can cause a lot of weird physical symptoms so it is possible, but the ones you are experiencing are different than the ones I have had. A lot of mine are health related like shortness of breath, heart skipping beats, heat sensations and fear of dying.
