Hey everyone,

I would really love to post my story of strife & achievement throughout my life with ADD. However I want to know if anyone else is willing to share with me their stories before I go all out and write a novel...

I'm a 21 y/o male - Failed 4 grades - Obtained my GED in HS - Now I'm a Paramedic & 2nd year Premed student with a 97GPA and made it on the deans list last year. If you want to know how I achieved such goals, let me know and share your story. I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say.

Supplier of advice for damn near everything.

I have a seventeen year old son who is very bright, yet has always gotten awful grades...however, he does very well on the CAT tests etc.
As a youngster, he constantly forgot to take his lunch, backpack, homework etc, to school. His teachers know that he is bright and so have little patience with him. "He is lazy"
He is not going to graduate, but I am sure he wouldn't have any trouble passing his GED, yet, I doubt he will be a successful college student. His father and I worry about him every day. I know he wants to get good grades, but he seems very disorganized and yes, he does seem lazy, but I know there is something deeper. An example: In 4th grade, he was reading at college level, yet he got a D in reading. When I asked his teacher how could this happen, she said that he never turned in his reading log.

I have had a horendous struggle with my ADD, Dyspraxia, and Anxiety Disorder.
I wet from getting mostly Cs and Ds at age 14 to achieving a Masters Degree in English Literature with honours and a B+ (almost A- average). I then went to teacher's college and passed everything but they have this clause which says even if you pass everything they can fail you if they think you are unsuitable to be a teacher and they said I was too disorganised to be a teacher so they won't give me my diploma which is essential to teach in my country. I have been politely "let go" from almost every job I have tried and feel like a complete failure who is incapable of achieving anything despite my useless two degrees.
Are you going to write a novel? Or your autobiography?
