With both problems, Gastroparesis and IBS C/D I was told that a Probiotic/Acidopholis would help me. This was told after I had a bacteria called H-Pylori. I have been on tem for 6 days and I think I am constipated. I was told that this product should help both Diarrhea and Constipation. Is there something that I am missing?

Were you treated for the H. Pylori?
Everyone has unique intestinal "flora", reactions to probiotics vary widely. Some folks swear by them (even the pro-yogurts you can get at the grocery store) others, like me, can't take them at all. I get terrible stomach cramping.
Can you eat tart apples? Like those green "granny smith" apples? For mild constipation, a granny smith-a-day really does keep the doctor away. :)

I was treated for H-Pylori while in the hospital and at home for 2 weeks with a package called prev pack. It cincluded 2 antibiotics an acid reducer and another pill I am not sure what it was. I had to take 4 in the mornign and 4 at night. The cost of that medication was $458. No kidding. We don't have medical insurance either. What a rip off. It did go away but it also madme me nauseated. I had no choice I had to take it. I can not eat anything with skin on it or seeds, nuts. Anything hard to digest. My Gastroparesis is quite serious. I have to be very carefull what I eat. I am not a diabetic either.
I would like to hear about your Gastroparessis.
