Although I would say 85% is on my left side...I have some popping and soreness on my right.

Anyone else have issues on both sides, too?

Hi--I've just recently had issues on both sides due to an adjustment that felt way off from a nightguard I've been wearing. Not only does the left side have bad grating sounds, my good side which was my right is now popping and has grating sounds sometimes.. It's driving me mad and I'm scared..I'm trying to find a good tmj clinic near me, but there seems to be noone really close to me. I got tmj from braces when I was 19..I'm 37 now... J.

Yes, I have problems on both sides. My MRI shows that my right TMJ is in worse condition, but I have more pain and problems with my left TMJ. My TMJD was caused by wisdom teeth extraction when I was 18, I'm 27 now.

Generally, only one will flare up at a time, but it can be a real nightmare when they both flare up together.

i get pain on both sides of my face so maybe i no my right is definalty out of place.. i guess it makes sense that once one disc gets out of place the other side takes up more chewing etc and so that would get stressed and eventually do the same..
