Height is strictly a genetic thing that you have no control over. I don't know that there is anything you can take or do to make yourself taller than you are. Hopefully you can learn to live with yourself and be OK with the fact that this is "what" you are and how you are built. You do have control over "who" you are and the man you can become, that is MUCH more important!

At 18 it might be too late to take growth hormone to increase your height. A lot depends on your sexual development. The sex hormones seal off the bones and prevent any further growth. But if you are not fully sexually developed then it might be possible to grow a bit more.

Don't worry about taking growth hormone. It is easy to take and easy to regulate the proper dose. Instead, worry that you might suffer from growth hormone insufficiency. This is now known to be a debilitating condition in adulthood that is easily fixed. I know because I take growth hormone everyday for this condition (I am 46 and normal height).

I urge you to go immediately to your family doctor and get an appointment with an endocrinologist who specializes in growth hormone for children. You need blood tests (prolactin, testosterone, LH, FSH, IGF-1, cortisol) to determine your hormone status and if it's too late to help you grow. You might also have the beginnings of the symptoms of low growth hormone which include: fatigue, memory problems, muscle and joint pains, low exercise capacity, a form of depression known as Apathy, low libido/performance and muscle loss.

Many people associate growth hormone with athletes cheating but the amount of growth hormone you take is small compared to the dose used by athletes to enhance performance. There are very few side effects from taking GH and all of the known ones are reversible upon lowering the GH dose.

Good luck.
