When I go to the health club, in the locker room, some of the uncut guys retract their foreskins to look cut. How does this feel? Does it get uncomfortable after a while? Does the foreskin slide back over the head on its own? Can you leave the head uncovered all the time if you want?

As an uncut guy I'm not quite sure why they would do that and exactly how it works. Foreskins, like penises come in differing lengths. Some of us have just a bit of foreskin and others have quite a bit. Usually when the foreskin is retracted it doesn't stay that way for long unless the penis is somewhat erect. I guess it would feel pretty cool and it certainly is good for the head to be exposed from time to time. I'm just not quite sure how they get it to stay and would really be curious as to why they do that in the first place. Anyone else have an answer here?

Lance,
On the fathermag forum boards (& on a lot of other boards, I gather) there is a guy calling himself Charles II who advocates permanent retraction ad nauseum. He hates having a foreskin and obviously is very pro-circumcision but advocates this as a non-surgical alternative. Recently two young European guys said they had tried retraction using tape for some time but when they tried to go back to the normal position their foreskins had stretched and would not go back to how they were before. They were very upset, understandably, as they thought they would just try a different circumcised sort of experience. They didn't like it and then could not go back to normal.

Thanks for that info Geoff, to each his own. Being uncut I can't imagine putting tape on my foreskin to hold it down!

Lance, I think some guys retract their foreskins because they feel they look different. I can understand why someone wouldn't want someone to stare at them, but I was wondering if the penis feels different when the foreskin is retracted and if it gets uncomfortable.

More and more parents are choosing not to circumcize so hopefully this notion of "looking different" will soon go away. I don't think I'd like the feel of being "falsely" exposed at all!
