Hey,
I tend to worry alot about things, and recently I can't get testicular cancer etc... off my mind after reading so much about it. I don't seem to have a lump that's hard, and pea-sized or anything. But at the top furthest away end of my testicle, I seem to have a lump, that as far as I can remember has always been there. It's not hard either, it's softish. And it seems to be there on the same place on the other testicle, but it isn't as obvious when looking. The lump isn't obvious, only when doing a "testicular examination" can you see it. As I said, I tend to worry alot, and I would just like to know if this is normal, or if it really is anything to be worried about as it is quite an embarressing thing to say to one of your parents.
Thanks.

Hi,
Dont feel embarassed at all about the problem.
That is why we guys call them the jewels...they are most precious to us and we tend to be VERY protective of them because we know how bad they can hurt!!
Your description does not sound alarming at all. The best part of your description is that you have the same feature on both testes.
Everyones jewels are a bit different and and have their lil bumps and lumps. If its something that has been there a long time, its most likely just part of YOU, and if they both share the same feature...its definately not cancer. Testicular cancer tends to nail one nut...not both, and definatly IF IT DID GET THEM BOTH....not on the exact same spot.
I have had my jewels for 33 years and do not think your worries are anything to get grey hair over at all, but as always, if you just want to make DOUBLE sure, tell your folks you would like to get a physical, and when you are alone with the doc, tell him in private. He wont blab on you.
Take care, and enjoy your life.

It sounds like the epidydimis. The place where sperm are stored around the testicle so that they can mature. It sounds normal to me. I doubt there is anything to worry about!

Thanks very much guys, u've been a big help to putting my mind at ease.
One more question, is it normal for sometimes ur "jewels" to hurt. Not big time, just now and then?

If your testicles are hurting on and off, but not excruiciating it still may be worth getting it checked out by your local doctor just to make sure there isn't anything else wrong!
